Homework Diaries

Please ensure that Homework Diaries are correctly filled out with: when your child has read (duration and pages read),

It is signed by an adult at home and they must be brought to be checked on Monday mornings. 

Home Learning:
We understand that each household will schedule their child's Home Learning in and round your own home life. This must include

  • Reading - three hours of reading per week - 10-20 pages a day.
  • Times tables - Continual revision of times tables. Reciting these at home is useful, but there are many apps and websites that can help. 

Timetable:

Every morning in year 5 we study Reading, Writing, Maths and Spelling. During the afternoons we have a wider range of cross-curricular work in a variety of subjects.

Monday:  Outdoor PE and PSHE

Tuesday: Religious Education and Computing

Wednesday:  French and Art/Design

Thursday: Humanities / Topic

Science will be on Friday mornings.

 

PE Kits

Please ensure children have their PE kits in on Monday. They must come into school wearing and remain in it all day.
