Dear Parents,
My apologies once again for the difficulties that some of you faced this evening when trying to access the meeting with your child’s Teacher.
I have contacted our ICT support team to request their help, in order to resolve the problem.
It would be helpful if you could you let me know, by sending me an email to this address: help@nascotwoodjm.herts.sch.uk how you attempted to access your consultation meeting this evening, and if you were successful.
By that I mean, did you use your personal google login, or your child’s google Login, and were you successful or not?
I will pass this information on to our support team tomorrow with the hope that this will help them to diagnose the problem.
As I said in my email earlier this evening, if you were unable to meet with your child’s Teacher this evening, we will be in contact with you to reschedule.
With apologies once again for the difficulties this evening,
Simon Watts
Good evening everyone,
I am sorry to report that there appears to be a problem with Google Classroom this evening.
It does not appear to be allowing us to admit some parents.
The parents that have been successful have accessed the meeting via their child’s Google Classroom login.
Although we would expect to be able to admit participants from outside of the organisation, this does not appear to be working.
With this in mind, when you try to access your meeting, please do so via your child’s Google Classroom login.
If you have been unable to access your meeting this evening, we will be in touch to re-schedule.
With apologies for any difficulty this has caused.
Simon Watts

Dear Parents,
To further support you during this unusual time, we are asking Class Teachers to telephone each family approximately once a fortnight.
The purpose of this call is simply to ‘check in’ with you, allowing some continuity of contact, for you as a family, with the school, whilst your child is unable to attend.
It’s not to discuss progress, or to check up on work completed, it is simply to maintain some semblance of contact with you, hopeful aiding a smooth transition once we return to more normal schooling.
The Class Teachers will aim to speak to the families of half the class per week, on a rolling program. If the Class Teachers are unable to contact you, they will leave a message and/or try again another day.
I would ask that you help to keep the phone calls relatively short, perhaps to approximately ten minutes.
It is not necessary for the Class Teacher to speak to your child, however, if you particularly want your child to have an opportunity to say hello to their Class Teacher, it is of course okay to do so.
With best wishes,
Mr Watts
Dear Parents,
For ease of use, we have temporarily repurposed one of our pages so that it is the central place for you to look for information while the school is closed.
The link is on the right hand side of the Home page button, at the top of the screen and is titled 'Closure'.
Here we will post information about the closure as we get, as well as having easy access to the class pages on the right hand side.
This will also be where you need to look to find Mrs Singh's assemblies.
Wishing you a happy Easter,
NWJS
