Topic

Our topic and humanities learning this half term will focus on the ancient Mayan civilisation, particularly their influence of Chocolate.

We will also have the visit from The Minister of Chocolate on Tuesday 22nd January.

Science

This half term, in science, we will be looking at Forces -  Mr Moonie's other favourite topic.

The curriculum will cover:

  • explaining that unsupported objects fall towards the Earth because of the force of gravity acting between the Earth and the falling object
  • identify the effects of air resistance, water resistance and friction, that act between moving surfaces
  • recognise that some mechanisms including levers, pulleys and gears allow a smaller force to have a greater effect

This page is updated on Wednesday.

Additional Information

Please ensure the children have their PE kits in every day, as we have PE on Monday, Tuesday.
