Good afternoon everyone,

Mrs Singh's assembly has been posted into your Google Classroom.

A message about Music home learning from Mrs Agnew

I've put together a short powerpoint with an idea for some music home learning based around the composer, Aaron Copland.

My idea is that we had a different composer each month, to encourage you all to listen to music and reflect on it.

I've used the BBC Ten Pieces website as a base for this, as it's got excellent video clips where the presenter explains what is happening in the music.

Please look at the power point presentation, that is at the bottom of this page, for more details.

With best wishes,

Mrs Agnew

Good afternoon children, I hope that you are managing as well as you can, whilst you are not in school. A few days ago, Mrs Singh and I were thinking of some of the other things that you could do with your time, as well as working on whatever your Class Teacher asks you to do.

Below is a list of some of the things we thought of:

playing in the garden
copying and drawing objects, art, comics etc - try playing cards (particularly the picture cards; jack, queen, king)
colouring in (good for handwriting practise too!)
learning calligraphy
learning your times-tables
playing board games
building indoor or garden shelters
climbing trees in the garden
construction with lego or something similar
instrumental practise
learning a foreign language online
joining in with 'PE with Joe'
Gardening - perhaps growing vegetables
Joining in with Gareth Malone’s ‘Great British home Chorus’ (Youtube at 5.30pm every day)

I look forward to seeing you all as soon as I can.

Mr Watts

Dear Parents and children,

We hope that you are adjusting well to being at home, when you would normally be at school.

During this period of closure, we would like to use this page as the central location for information and updates – please check back regularly.

You might have noticed that we have added it to the top menu, as well as adding in some new pages, on the right hand side, just above where you would normally look for your class page.

We thought we would try to make it a little bit easier for you to find home learning activities, during this period of closure.

Mrs Singh and Mr Watts will also put information, activities or ideas on this page periodically – watch out for an upcoming assembly by Mrs Singh.

In addition to all of the above, we are experimenting with having a YouTube channel. Please do bear with us as this is very new!

Please follow this link to have a look!
